A Burlington Northern intermodal train, including UPS trailers, approaches the crew change point (and Amtrak station) in McCook, Nebraska, on August 19th, 1980. This eastbound train will also "lose an hour" here, as McCook is also where the railroad changes from the Mountain time zone to the Central time zone. (The actual time zone boundary is quite a bit west of here.)
