Steam, smoke and snow. Self propelled (0-6-0+0-6-0) steam rotary X rot d # 9213 of the RhB for the Bernina line, built in 1910 by Swiss Locomotive and Machine Works (SLM) for the then independent Bernina Railway, on a demonstration event between Ospizio Bernina and Alp Grüm on about 2250 meter a.s.l. Shoving is "Bernina Crocodile" Ge 4/4 # 182, built in 1928 by SLM and SAAS for the Bernina Railway and often used for snow fighting service. The participants of the event, forming a nice photo line, where brought to this place from Alp Grüm on board of the two railcars ABe 4/4 II # 46 and 47, while the photographer of the scene walked on snow shoes from Ospizio during about one hour.
