| This particular Saturday morning dawned cold and clear with a fresh layer or snow on the ground from a storm the previous day. The snow would not last long, as temperatures climbed into the mid 50s by midday. It was a busy morning for the many railfans staked out along the River Sub. Here we see the head end of Q008 passing the hind end of Q410 right at the Mt. Vernon Street crossing. Susquehanna's compact "MC Yard" was quite empty, and can be seen at left in this telephoto view. |
