Freightliner class 70 No. 70010 passes Naas Crossing,on the outskirts of Gloucester, with 4V47,a Rugeley to Stoke Gifford coal empties. The class 70 locos have become known as either "Bettys" (after the TV show "Ugly Betty") or,rather less kindly,"fuglies" (because they are "f****** ugly").Harsh, but nevertheless true.
The worst of railroad design. Please, send me your entries / suggestions for the "Album of the ugly trains of the world" (past or present, paint scheme or shape).
