Union Pacific's Provo Switcher works the General Refractories spur in Lehi on Sept. 2, 1988. Historically this track is a remnant of the old UP Fairfield Branch that left the Provo Main at Cutler and extended west and south through Mesa, Cedar Fort, Fairfield, Five Mile Pass, Topliff, and Boutler reaching the Tintic mining district at Silver City, Mammoth, and Eureka.
