A Kansas City Southern freight crosses the Colorado River at Wharton, Texas, on the morning of March 13, 2013. Two Kansas City Southern de Mexico GE AC4400CWs lead the southbound train on the Rosenberg Subdivision, once a former Southern Pacific route nicknamed the “Macaroni Line.”
