A BNSF Railway trackage rights train roars east on the UP with 76 cars, meeting a UTA FrontRunner commute at Vine Street crossing in Murray. The 9778 is an SD70MAC, built new for the BNSF in March 1997. More than 1500 total SD70MAC units were built by EMD for the Burlington Northern/BNSF, Conrail, CSX, TFM/KCS and the Alaska Railroad. In 2004, the model was replaced by the SD70ACe with upgrades that meet Tier-2 EPA regulations.
