| Steam Incorperated's coal fired JA 1271 is turned on the Taihapi turntable. In 2002-2003 the turntable was removed for a scrap drive. The Taihapi Rotary Club realized that if it was to be a part of the New Zealand steam scene it would need the turntable to turn engines. Funding was found and the turntable restored with a reopening October 6 2007. |
