Remarks & Notes
Union Pacific’s Wendover Løcal is a 3 times a week operation originating at UP’s Roper Yard in Salt Lake City. They go west from Salt Lake servicing the many mineral industries on the south side of the Great Salt Lake and tie up for the night at Wendover. Next day they reverse and run back east to Roper. Here is the local curving off of the main line into a salt facility at Blair to pick up a few loads. Blair is at the very west edge of the Bonneville Salt Flats adjacent to Wendover. Conductor Larry Stauffer is riding the steps of the SD60M.

Roundhouses, waiting rooms, offices, platforms, carpeted aisles, and other places. One catches these at their trade, both on and off the clock.
