| The Southern Loops! Southern Railway #630 leads the westbound return trip from Old Fort to Asheville on home territory. The #630 was actually stationed out of Asheville for the latter part of its original career on the Southern Railway, and this is the first time the engine has returned since (during its excursion career in the 1960s-70s the engine never ventured here). Talk about a true Southern homecoming! |
