A red signal signal on the Florida Northern protects the diamond with the CSX in Ocala, Florida. The station was built in 1917 by the Seaboard Air Line and the Atlantic Coast Line. The ACL track is now owned by the Florida Northern, and the SAL is part of the CSX S-Line. No passenger trains currently roll through Ocala and use the station.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
