It's early morning and the fog is beginning to rise, as No. 826 charges eastbound, emerging from the twin portals at Huger, W.Va., behind a pair of NS' newer AC traction GEVO's on the point. It will be a long grueling climb, as the train still has nearly 40 miles of grade to battle before reaching Bluefield, via NS' busy Pocahontas mainline.
