Remarks & Notes |
BNSF 4880 and two other Dash-9's lead a northbound trackage rights manifest across the Sprague River and past the site of the former Chioquin Lumber Company Mill as they prepare to take the siding at Chiloquin. There they will meet a southbound UP manifest before continuing to Chemult, where they will leave UP rails, continuing their journey north on the BNSF Oregon Trunk Subdivision. Great Northern was granted trackage rights between Chemult and Klamath Falls over Southern Pacific's then recently completed Natron Cutoff in 1927. BNSF, GNs successor still unitizes these trackage rights for their I5 Corridor traffic. |
