A pair of EMD's lead either a 633 or 643 west through the town of Byron, MN on a gorgeous May evening. The ethanol empties are either bound for Janesville, MN or Aurora, SD. Rail traffic along the Waseca Subdivision was at an all-time high, some days yielding as many as 7-8 trains, for the last several days due to a washout and derailment in Iowa. Quite the increase in traffic considering the line only sees a daily east and west bound and a local working out of Rochester.
