| Grinding upgrade into the Mt. Shasta foothills, a detoured BNSF manifest leaves the fertile Butte Valley behind as it enters Kegg siding to wait for a northbound UP train. UP's Black Butte Sub stretches off toward Dorris at right, and looming on the distant horizon is Mt. McLoughlin in Oregon. |
