A scene that hasn't been seen for about 50 years. Finally, all the six remaining A4s are gathered around the turntable at the National Railway Museum at York. 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley, 60008 Dwight D Eisenhower (on loan from Green Bay WI), 60009 Union of South Africa, 4468 Mallard (the fastest steam loco in the World at 126mph, 4464 Bittern and 4489 Dominion of Canada (on loan from Montreal). The crowds were at their lowest numbers when I took this wide angle shot. For most of the day, movement around the engines was very difficult because of the sheer numbers of people! Still, I saw this amazing sight.
