Railway Enthusiasts Society run trip to Tokoroa with Ja 1240 seen racing home past Walton in fading light. The distant mountains are the Kaimai ranges through which the ECMT line to Tauranga passes through via a 9Km long tunnel.
Railway Enthusiasts Society has operated rail excursions around NZ since 1958, some steam hauled using rolling stock from Glenbrook Vintage Railway which it established in 1970's near Auckland. See www.railfan.org.nz
