On a picture perfect summer evening, CN train 301 roars across the impressive Seguin River trestle in Parry Sound, after finally receiving a clearance from CP RTC to proceed north to St. Cloud on the Parry Sound Sub DRZ (Directional Running Zone). Switching off of the Bala Sub and onto the Parry Sound Sub at Boyne should have been a standard and simple move, but unfortunately for the crew it turned into a nightmare when they had to wait for close to 3 hours. After having to set off some dimensionals at South Parry, wait for a couple of CP trains and argue rules with CN RTC after moving past a red signal, the crew was sure happy to finally get moving again. Nonetheless, with music playing in the park, great lighting and lots of trains it was a very enjoyable evening in Parry Sound.
