Two icons of Cloquet. On the left, Cloquet Voyager- The plaque on it's base calls it "A Cloquet Bicentennial Project". It was dedicated on July 5th, 1976 by Senator Hubert H. Humphrey and Representative Jim Oberstar and on the right, the afternoon Cloquet Terminal Railroad crew with 1941 built CTRR #31 for power heading out to serve the Sappi Fine Paper plant, the town's largest employer and is located on the banks of the St. Louis River since 1898 and currently making coated fine papers and dissolving wood pulp used by manufacturers to produce a wide range of products including textile fibers, pharmaceutical, beauty, and household products.
