Ja 1250 on a regular train from Glenbrook descends the 2% grade into Victoria Avenue, the terminus of the Glenbrook Vintage Railway in Waiuku. Locomotives can only be turned at the nearby steel mill but a turntable is being installed.
Railway Enthusiasts Society has operated rail excursions around NZ since 1958, some steam hauled using rolling stock from Glenbrook Vintage Railway which it established in 1970's near Auckland. See www.railfan.org.nz
