During the Tom Moore era, excursions were a very common practice to help promote the railroad. Pulling this short excursion is CRR 200, the only F-unit that the Clinchfield owned that had an onboard steam generator for passenger cars. The excursion is passing the Splashdam tipple, and at the time of the photo, was still an active loadout. Today, CRR 200 still exists, but the Splashdam tipple has been torn down. 35mm slide from my collection, photographer unknown.
