An EMU set departs Eagle Junction station on its way into Brisbane from Caboolture. These sets were built in the late 70's/early 80's when the Brisbane suburban network was first being electrified, and being the only EMUs in the state at the time they were simply referred to as 'EMUs,' a name that has stuck even now that there are numerous other Electric Multiple Units operating in Queensland.
