Twilight departure. Darkness falls over the deserted platform of the tiny Reading Company Station in New Hope. A lonely engine crew has their fire all squared away and the boiler pressure just nipping at the pops as they wait for a few last loads to be put aboard their branch line freight. In just minutes, they'll begin their all night journey south through the suburbs of Philly, delivering carloads of raw material to businesses along the New Hope Branch.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
