When I received the great news that the PRR 8102 would be leading CP 459-02 North out of Enola, PA, I knew I had to make time to go see it. The CP Sunbury Sub between CP KASE (Sunbury, PA) and Buttonwood, PA was once the former PRR Wilkes-Barre branch making this event even more historic. With limited opportunities for decent light for an evening Northbound and wanted to get shots of it on the PRR segment of the route, I had to chose my locations wisely. One spot on my plan was Mocanaqua, PA (M.P. 706) on the CP Sunbury Sub where mother nature cooperated very nicely by providing some gorgeous late evening sweet light as CP 459-02 splits through the middle of town making all of Track Speed. The consist for todays train included NS 8102, NS 6658 and NS 9378 with 85 mixed freight for Binghamton, NY and points North and West.
