Double headed steam special to Hamilton leaves Victoria Avenue on 2% grade with Steam Incorporated's Ja 1271 and Ja 1250 operated by Glenbrook Vintage Railway. Both coal burners were built by Hillside, Dunedin in 1950's - the last steam locomotive type built for New Zealand rails.
Railway Enthusiasts Society has operated rail excursions around NZ since 1958, some steam hauled using rolling stock from Glenbrook Vintage Railway which it established in 1970's near Auckland. See www.railfan.org.nz
