I only had one afternoon to spend on the Hudson River line, so naturally it decided to snow in late March! Photo taken in Montrose NY from the RT 9A overpass. Barely seen in the background is the former NYCRR signal bridge and the Crugers station. Both are long gone now. The signals the victim of the conversion of this portion of the line to cab signals and the station replaced by a huge modern monstrosity located around the curve directly behind me (Thanks to hal2415 for the location info!).
With three lines radiating north out of Grand Central Terminal plus service to Port Jervis on the former Erie, Metro North covers a wide swatch of New York's northern suburbs with varying terrains.
