UP 7704, an ES44AC, has todays MRORV manifest train well in hand as it traverses the upper level of the Silver Zone Pass trackage in eastern Nevada. Arnolds Loop is a mile or so behind it and ahead some 2 or 3 miles is Silver Zone summit and then a long pull across Goshute Valley, past Shafter, and up to the Hogan Tunnel crossing of the Pequop Range. Many more long, isolated miles to go before a crew change at Elko, Nevada.
