Remarks & Notes

For MAERSK grand opening of a new facility located on Terminal Island in the Port of Los Angeles NS painted and sent to CA this special painted SD40-2 for ceremonies and photo ops shown sitting in track six at the new Pier 400 storage facility along with BNSF's version coupled to it. In all it's thriftyness BNSF painted inoperable exAmtrak SDP40F, now in BNSF parlance SDF40 that had to be hauled around by operating NS unit.
