CSX Willard, OH to Selkirk, NY freight Q384-27 rolls thru the notch at Yosts in one of the more scenic locations in the Mohawk Valley with CSXT 7894 trailing. In this tight notch from left to right is: Little Nose Mountain, the former railbed of the West Shore RR, NYS Rt 5s, NYS Thruway I-90, Mohawk River, CSX Mohawk Sub, NYS Rt 5, and Big Nose Mountain. This is an unusual shot since the river, which is also the Erie Canal, is at low winter levels due to a lock issue just east of here.
This album seeks to portray classic New England and Upstate New York imagery. It showcases the most perfect examples of regional identity, with special attention to structures and landscape.
