Interurban car No. 1225 crosses over the Serpentine River on its way back to Cloverdale. The Fraser Valley Heritage Railway Society began operating the 100 year old interurban car in June of this year on Southern Railway of British Columbia’s mainline, which is the former BC Electric route to Chilliwack. After eight years of work and 20,000 volunteer hours, car no. 1225 runs again with the help of a power car, since re-electrifying the rail line would be too expensive. This was the last day of operations for the year of 2013.
