| The sound of Caterpillar Diesels fills the air as the Red River Valley & Western's Hankinson Turn accelerates south out of Breckenridge, nearing the tiny town of Doran. Even though it's hardly scenic by any stretch of the imagination, the BNSF's former GN mainline through western Minnesota has a certain charm with code line and automatic block signals still in place along much of the line. The RRVW's trackage rights between Breckenridge and the CP at Aberdeen Line Jct add some variety, too. |
