Remarks & Notes |
Sometimes it helps to have a little bit of a thick skin to do shots like these. Case in point the grueling waiting game on a windy Saturday late morning while you watch northbound after northbound weave it's way up as the dispatcher tries to pocket all the short timers out of Jersey. Meanwhile you nervously watch the sky for the numberous low clouds which threaten at times to build out of the south and west and ruin your day. But the blue sky seems to be winning. Now the sun angle is starting to move as well as each new hour passes and still no southbound. But you know the game. It's PATIENCE! If you cut and run or get disgusted and quit you know the price. And it be painful if you only got one day free to get this angle, this historic location, this gathering of foliage color and a great lashup to boot. When at last all the elements finally come together and you know your patience is rewarded. Your frustration now magically a distant memory. Maybe why these shots are so tough is why we keep coming back for more. |
