The crew of the D TRITRI orchestrates turning the EMDX 1211 and 1212 on the wye at French, NM. Here, the York Canyon Subdivision joins the rest of the BNSF network. In better times the high quality coal from the York Canyon mine was routed to Fontana, CA and later Milwaukee, WI. The current coal market prices are unable to sustain operation of the underground mine. The surface reserves were exhausted some time ago.
