Remarks & Notes
Box cab electric helpers were not always placed mid-train in Milwaukee's eastbound freights climbing the 1.6% continental divide out of Butte up to Pipestone Pass, Montana. On April 10, 1970 E29B and mates would soon be cut off at Donald over the crest just ahead, beyond the summit tunnel at elev. 6,418-ft.
