| 830, 835 and 511 head up the southbound Auto Train on a gorgeous fall evening as it crosses the trestle shortly after departure from Lorton. This scenic location was made memorable to me by the Amtrak post card of the same train being led by P30CHs decades earlier (I believe taken by Alex Mayes), given out as part of the welcome aboard kit for first class passengers. This was my first time visiting the location and it didn't disappoint. |
