New England Central's southbound road freight train #324 is led by the colorful consist of NECR SD40T-2 3317 in Genesee & Wyoming colors, NECR SD40M-2 2716 in UP lightning stripe colors and NECR GP38 3844 in 'heritage' blue and gold, as the train traverses one of the few well-preserved Central Vermont Railway bridges (located in Sharon, Vermont). With only eight minutes to set this shot up, my son and I were confronted by a fishing bear that splashed upstream after seeing the only test flash/warning flash I fired prior to the train's arrival.
