Southern Pacific Power Through the Siskiyous - While it has been a number of years since Uncle Pete swallowed the Southern Pacific Railroad and in spite of the company's best efforts to eradicate the past, a number of relics still exist that bear testament to the once proud line that ran through the mountains of Northern California and Oregon to connect the great cities of Los Angeles and Portland.
Here, an old SP promotional mural is still visible on the side of a large waste water storage tank located in the freight yard, just down from the Amtrak depot in Dunsmuir California.
