An inbound Massachusetts Bay Commuter Railroad train pushes past the old factory buildings in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on a clear November day. Precisely three minutes and twelve seconds later, the Pan Am business train would pass this location. (See photo 458887 for that shot.) It's ironic that I inadvertently caught this MBTA engine on this particular day, as just days before I snapped this shot, my friend John Sesonske posted a shot of the very same locomotive in Rotterdam Junction, New York, thirty-one years earlier.
This album seeks to portray classic New England and Upstate New York imagery. It showcases the most perfect examples of regional identity, with special attention to structures and landscape.
