Remarks & Notes |
A lot has changed since this photograph was taken. Looking down from the towpath of the Grand Union Canal in Harlesden towards Old Oak Common and North Pole depots 57602 is seen in the reception sidings waiting to take the stock for the Night Riviera sleeper service into Paddington before the train heads through the night to Penzance. Since 2006 the train has received a full re-paint into the new First Group colours, while North Pole depot in the background ceased to maintain Eurostar trains a year later with the opening of HS1. The lines in the foreground lead to the EWS depot at Old Oak Common- now closed and demolished as part of Crossrail construction works. |
