By 1982 the Soo F-unit fleet was gone except for a handful of snowplow service units. The Milwaukee Road purchase and its corresponding motive power chaos was in the future and things seemed to be a little blah. High nose Geeps put in the odd appearance and GP30's could still be found.....if they weren't stored. For the most part for a 2-3 year period it was a steady stream of SD40-2/SD40/GP38-2 as far as road power was concerned. This is train 909 with 75 cars powered by an all to common at the time set of 755 and 4411. |
