Old Soo Line locomotives gather around the Shoreham (Minneapolis), Minnesota, turntable on September 30, 1984. All four surviving F units were there; FP7 No. 2500-A on the right, F7 No. 2201-A in front of it and FP7 No. 502-A front and center (with FP7 No. 500-A not visible behind it). All were off the roster in 1986, with 500-A going to Ladysmith for display, and 2500-A heading to the Lake Superior Transportation Museum in Duluth. These Fs survived for as long as they did because they were in snowplow service, hence all the vents and leaky doors taped shut.
