Remarks & Notes |
DRS Class 20. No. 20301 named Max Joule after the managing director of Direct Rail Services who died in an accident in 1999. The name plate is on the cab front. It is seen in the sidings alongside platform 11 at York. The steelwork in the background is the new Rail operating and training centre York. The prep work for the new facility uncovered 19th century engine shed floors, including the turntable pits and inspection pits. These have been recorded and 'preserved' under the building. |
