Washington Central’s two former MARC (Maryland Transit Administration) EMD F9PH Nos. 82 and 84 sit silently at the small enginehouse at Yakima, Washington, on May 31, 2008. These locomotives were used as power on the “Spirit of Washington” dinner train, and will move on to California, becoming Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay Nos. 1101 and 1102 in the Iowa Pacific fleet.
