The small dot on the Georgia Highway map of Cuthbert, GA has recently become the base of operations for the south end of current Georgia Southwestern RR (GSWR) under GWI ownership. What do you find in Cuthbert? If you are real, lucky a couple of GP units resting in a house track behind the corporate sign. Finding as GSWR sublettered unit is even harder to find, as GWI routinely uses the GSWR south end to break in power it rebuilds at its BAYL shops in Panama City, FL for any of its Southern Region group of short lines. A former LDRR GP-10 rests over Thanksgiving, 2013 flying the company colors and that of the railroad it is working.
