Remarks & Notes
BNSF Railway 170 was built by EMD as a GP60B (ATSF 347), but was rebuilt by Metro East Industries in mid-2010 with a cab (donated from Union Pacific SD40-2 3751) into a "regular" GP60. (It was painted by Mid America Car in Kansas City.) It appears that this may be the only 347-class GP60B to get rebuilt into a unit with a cab, making BNSF 170 the textbook definition of "unique!" Photographed on railroad property with permission and full PPE.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
