Tenneessee Valley RR Museum's Hiwassee River Division is running iron ore once more. Many years ago when copper was being mined, so was iron ore, inadvertently. With no use for this low grade iron ore, it was literally thrown away. Now, this iron ore is being sold to a large industrial country that has no natural source of iron ore, China. A TVRM crew brings loaded gone out of the load out area to build a train. The train will be run North on the scenic Hiwassee River RR and turned over to CSX for transport South near Mobile, AL. There, it will be loaded on a ship and taken to China. International trade in rural Tennessee!
