The North British Locomotive Company in Glasgow built EX LMS Jubilee Class 4-6-0 Bahamas 5596 in 1935. She was named Bahamas in 1936. It is seen here in The National Railway Museum, York. It was renumbered in 1948 when the Big Four as they were known, were Nationalized and became British Railways but divided in four regions. Bahamas is currently preserved in BR Green and numbered 45596. Photographed on 1st September 2012. |
