| H&MC's only locomotive (ex-Everett RR 8933 / CR 8933 / LV 282) heads to the south end of the line to retrieve some covered hoppers from storage. Freight car storage is an important source of income for the H&MC, as evidenced by their investment in the fairly new siding seen here, upon which brand new tank cars are being stored. The railroad runs for about fourteen miles southward from downtown Huntsville on a former NC&StL branchline. |
