In the early morning hours of September 25, 2013, an eastbound baretable traveling on the BNSF Panhandle Sub rear ended a stopped eastbound stack train near the Tyson Plant, the ensuing derailment fouled main one as the westbound ZWSPSBD724L was making its way towards Amarillo for a crew change. The Z train collided with the derailed cars, and derailed as well blocking both Main tracks for 12 hrs. The BNSF 6943 was the second unit on the Z train and awaits its fate at the derailment site and judging by the bent frame, will be scrapped here. (Photo taken from public property)
