Remarks & Notes |
Wolsztyn in Poland is famous for being the last place in Europe where you can ride steam locomotives on passenger trains in revenue earning service. Pacific Pm 36-2 'Piękna Helena' is seen tackling the bank outside the Polish holiday resort of Boszkowo after departing with the 13:30 Wolsztyn-Leszno service on 4th August 2011. Steam services have recently been cut back from the line to Poznan to the line to Leszno but hopefully this should safeguard the service for a number of years. |
